Community Lunch

Last Monday The Boothbay Harbor Rotary Club hosted the Community Lunch at Brady's.  It's a wonderful winter tradition.  A chance to visit with your neighbors and remember how lucky we are to live in this caring community.

Last Thursday, our speaker Tammy Plummer had to cancel at the last minute.  A fun and short meeting was held bringing everyone up to date on the latest Rotary news. The days are getting longer which means the opening of the Rotary Club Barn is getting closer.  (Is this our fifth Summer???).  So, Barn clean out will be this Saturday March 1st at 9:00.  Bring your truck, trailer, muscles, patience and we’ll get ‘er done. 

This Thursday, we are welcoming Tammy Plummer, EVP and Chief Information Officer for First National Bank. She will talk about Internet Security.   Tammy has been with the First National Bank for over 30 years and is responsible for the Technology, Operations, Facilities and Cyber Security areas of the bank.  Tammy has a passion for educating people about common scams and how to protect yourself against them.  She will be using a presentation developed by the Maine Bankers Association called “Fraud Red Flags”.  This is a timely subject as the incidence of computer “scams” seem higher lately with many local people being affected.
