Clean Up & Beautification Night

Summer is almost here, not hot yet, but the weeds in my garden sure think it is.  So do the weeds at the Rotary Club.  So, this week we’re having our first annual grounds maintenance and beautification night.  Bring your rakes, clippers, brush hogs or whatever implements of yard destruction you like.  We’ll work together and get the place looking right upscale.  We’ll start around 5:30, or whenever you get there.  Work till we’re ready to take a break for dinner.  Amy is making a simple, summer dinner.  The “Turpentine Club” will be open too.

Windjammer Days Float

We’re also doing another fun project Thursday night.  For those who don’t like garden work we’ll be painting signs and making decorations for our Windjammer Days Parade Float.  Tory will have supplies, just bring your ideas.  On Wednesday 7/29 we’ll be riding on Todd’s trailer decorated with the bounty of Thursday night’s creativity.  Two fun events, Thursday’s meeting, then the Windjammer Day Parade.

Change Over Dinner

Speaking of fun.  Change Over dinner is the following Thursday, June 30th.  We’ll wish President Jeff a fond goodbye and give President Bruce a rousing welcome.  The “Rotations” will be back by popular demand. You don’t want to miss this one, for sure.

Bike Program

The Bike Program for Seasonal Workers is still in full gear.  Bikes can be picked up Thursday from 4-6 and Saturday from 9-12 at the barn, 66 Montgomery Rd.  We request a $100 deposit which is returned when the bike is.

Come to the Barn

The Big, Gray, Rotary Barn is a hopping place, especially Saturday mornings.  There’s usually a line of shoppers  waiting for the doors to open.  We are still picking up your donated furniture, dishes, pots/pans, tools, boats, well just about anything and reselling it to our neighbors and friends.  Then using the proceeds to support the many programs and nonprofits that make our community the special place it is.  If you have goods to be picked-up contact Deb at 207-380-3550.

Visitors Welcome

We always welcome visiting Rotarians and prospective members to our meetings.  Join us any Thursday at our clubhouse, 66 Montgomery Rd, BBH, 04538.  We’re a diverse group of community members having fun together trying to effect positive change through “Service Above Self”.
