American Dream

Amy Herbold, member Jim Herbold’s daughter, spoke with us last Thursday. She described her work as Director of Development with the American Dream, a retail and entertainment complex in Meadowlands, New Jersey. As the largest mall in the U.S., American Dream Mall looks to be an all-around destination.

Welcome Our New Members

Over the last two weeks we have inducted three new Rotary members! Two weeks ago, we inducted Bill Louisignau, who was previously a Rotarian in Massachusetts. This last week we welcomed Greg and Barbara Thornton as new members. All come with great enthusiasm and ready to serve as Rotarians! They’ve already been spotted on Thursdays as waiters and innkeepers.

Repainting the US Map

Our repainting of the United States map in the back of the elementary school last Sunday had to be delayed due to weather. The current plan is to try again this Sunday when the weather looks much more agreeable. Again, please let Deb Graves know if you plan to help (email to: Deb Graves). Paint and brushes will be provided. Be sure to wear painting clothes!

Bruce Harris

This Thursday we will hear from President-Elect Bruce Harris, who will deliver a classification talk. Classification talks are a great way to get to know our fellow Rotarians. We will enjoy drinks and appetizers on the deck beginning before 6:00 pm with the program and Zoom beginning at 6:30.

Thursday's Meeting

With the weather turning cooler and darkness coming sooner, we will be spending more of our meetings inside the clubhouse. Please remember to wear your mask when not eating or drinking and when seated for the program. COVID is still a problem in Maine and Lincoln County. We want as many members as possible to feel comfortable. Thank you!
