What, No Rain?
By Irene Fowle
What's happening, how can this be, it hasn't rained! Yes indeed, It hasn't rained for about a week, even last Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day. Only the second Saturday without rain since the Rotary Barn opened the first week of April. We thought the long line waiting for us to open was because everyone had nothing else to do because of the rain. But, even on a beautiful, sunny summer morning there was a long line of cheerful customers waiting for Laurie to open the door at 8:30 to say good morning and thanks for coming. Thank you everyone, the shoppers, the donors and the Rotarians who make this happen, rain or shine.
After a week off for July 4th fun, we're meeting again this Thursday at 6:00 pm. This will be President Laurie Zimmerli’s first official meeting. Should be fun…
Then to add to the fun our speaker is our own Vicki Haugen, RN, MPH and several other letters too. She will talk about how to get the most from a visit with your healthcare provider. The talk includes information from a chapter she recently contributed to a nursing text book called “Shared Decision Making”. Understanding doctor visits, prescriptions and treatment recommendations. Knowing our Vicki she will add a lot of humor and honesty that a text book can't publish.
People Power needs you. You can sign up right here. Don't be shy, no need for performance anxiety, you can do it. Just be brave and add your name. You'll be glad you did.
