“AND THE SURVEY SAYS” ……...
JOIN THE BOOTHBAY HARBOR ROTARY CLUB
by Vicki Haugen
In a recent member survey, our club responded with a robust 79% response rate in which we confirmed that our club is engaged and high spirited in maintaining and improving both our service to community and world service as well as care for our members.
Positive attributes from our survey:
-
Overall welcoming
-
Feel comfortable to be myself
-
Proud of our club
-
Our club makes a difference
-
We listen to members
-
We feel it is well worth our time
We discussed improving our commitment to welcome and introduce speakers. We discussed working on food and meal preferences as we face higher costs for foods but wish to meet a healthy fun meal or appetizer offerings. We discussed sponsoring a new ad hoc group to address changing meal and food needs of members.
The survey results and comments will be sent to all members in a separate email.
We encouraged all members to address the board directly with concerns by attending board meetings open to all members or sending officers a message. We are committed to the respectful treatment of each other.
CELEBRATION
As we thank our outgoing officers: President co-team, Mike Thompson and Alden Wood and stepping down from VP, Rick Jameson.
We celebrate our incoming new President Laurie Zimmerli, our CO-VP team of Byron Cortez and Conxa Packard. We continue being grateful to our secretaries Irene Fowle and Jim Herbold, treasurers Brian McGrath and Bill Prince, and board of director members, Barb Thornton, Charlotte Jameson and Cathy Fisher.
We welcomed our current Area’s Assistant Governor, Lorraine Faherty as well as our incoming Area Assistant Governor, Anthony Jamison.
NEXT WEEK
We look forward to a very informative presentation by our own Holly Stover and Chief Snyder on addiction resources in our community!
