Last Thursday we welcomed Susan Black, MD and President of Brunswick Coastal Rotary Club. Susan described their work with Village Health Works in Burundi. Village Health Works brings education and health care to one of the poorest regions in the world. They are constructing a hospital and women’s health pavilion in Kigutu, scheduled to open in 2022. They are raising money for an ambulance to bring people for care that would normally have to walk miles.
