The Big Gray Rotary Barn is Open

The Big Gray Rotary Barn is open again every Saturday from 8:30-11:00.  This will be the third year operating weekly from the barn instead of the annual auction.  It’s been a tremendous success, thanks to all of your efforts and the support of this great community.  Purchases benefit many local and International programs and projects.  We recently donated money to support the Elementary School project sending school supplies to Ukrainian Refugee Children.  We are close to having donated almost 3000 pints of soup to our local food pantry and many other projects.  We are taking donations for the barn, have prospective donors call Deb Graves at 207-380-3550 to arrange a pickup or drop off.

Crisis in Ukraine

Paul Zalucky spoke to us last Thursday about the Crisis in Ukraine.  The clubhouse was full with members and friends interested in this timely topic.  Mr Zalucky is a riveting speaker who is extremely knowledgeable about Ukraine and Russia.  When the 8:00 meeting ending time was announced everyone wanted to stay and continue this conversation with Mr Zalucky.  Clubhouse lights went out around 9:00.  Thank you Mr Zalucky for this informative talk.  If you want to help the Ukraine he recommends www.helpukraine22.org.  Rotary International is also working closely with Rotary Clubs in the Ukraine and neighboring countries with a designated Disaster Response Fund https://my.rotary.org/en/donate. The Boothbay Harbor club is one of over 42,000 Rotary Clubs Worldwide who contribute to Rotary International whose goals are to foster peace and understanding worldwide.

Meet Nicole Evans

This week we will hear a “Classification Talk” by our newest member Nicole Evans.  Nicole comes to us from the Rotary Club of Brunswick, having relocated to the Boothbay area.  Come welcome Nicole, enjoy a delicious buffet dinner and take time to visit with fellow members.  We always welcome visitors and potential members.  Our meetings start at 6:00 at the clubhouse next to the Big Gray Barn.
