Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays, seeing loved ones, and staying safe.
We have much to celebrate this year with Rotary. Notably we’re taking a well-earned break from the barn after a tremendous year. This calendar year we raised close to $120,000 from barn sales! A huge thank you to the dedicated team of people who have helped make the barn such a success. We also restarted in person Thursday meetings this year. We adopted a buffet style format for meal service. Most everyone agrees that is the way to go in the future, even after we get through the pandemic.
However, with Covid numbers spiraling and the Omicron variant making its way through communities, the Board has voted to suspend in-person Thursday meetings for the month of January. It’s best to be safe. We do have a busy month planned for January on Zoom. On Thursday, January 6 we will welcome Nick Ullo, Executive Director of the Boothbay Region Land Trust. We will distribute details of the gathering closer to the date, but we will begin gathering on Zoom at 6:00 and the program will begin at 6:30.
Several people have asked for Margi Spratt’s mailing address following Henry’s death last week. It is PO Box 312, Southport 04576.
Until we meet on Zoom on January 6, Happy New Year!
