Irene Barber, Horticultural Therapist at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens spoke at our meeting last Thursday. Horticultural therapy uses the universally accessible Lerner Garden of the Five Senses. It’s a wonderful part of the gardens and perfect for the work that Irene and her team does. Through a variety of programs, horticultural therapy enhances the total well-being of its participants. It is an important part of the educational program at CMBG.
Parking Lot Construction
Work is progressing on the new parking lot. We are all looking forward to it! Saturday mornings can be very crowded on Montgomery Rd. and the new lot will make everyone’s life much easier. It will also make parking for our Thursday meetings much more convenient. Thanks to Mike Thompson for guiding this process.
Social Meeting this Week
This coming Thursday we will have a purely social evening at our clubhouse with no formal speaker. These evenings are a great opportunity for Rotarians to catch up with each other and welcome guests. With the weather once again looking cooperative, we will enjoy drinks and appetizers on the deck beginning before 6:00 pm. There will be no Zoom this week.
